Applications

Chrome sulphate and its compounds are used almost exclusively
in the tanning of animal hides to make leather goods.
They are particularly valued for the speed and simplicity of their use.

Chrome-based chemicals increase the heat and wear resistance of the tanned hides and skins allowing production of a wide range of finished leather, from the softest to the firmest.

Grades and formulations

Our 3 manufacturing sites in the US produce a liquid chrome sulphate product that is easily transported to the leather tanning industry. Several different grades are produced, covering a wide range of varying concentrations and basicities.
