  Applications
For applications which are sensitive to moisture or where a source of
potassium is required for the end use, potassium dichromate is used in preference to sodium dichromate.
  Elementis is the only manufacturer to use chromic acid as the feedstock for potassium dichromate production. This process results in high quality products distinguished by low chloride values.
 
  Potassium dichromate is used in the manufacture of the following products:

 
catalyst for the production of chromium metal
photographic engraving and lithographic chemicals
pyrotechnics and explosives
analytical standard
   
This product is supplied as a bright orange crystal in 50kg packages.
